Ships in Cruise Line Tycoon are not collectible units with a simple power ranking. Each class is a construction envelope that changes how much you can build, what operating systems you must support, and how much reserve remains for rooms, amenities, fuel, supplies, and crew. The best choice is the smallest hull that can perform the job you want reliably.

Quality-Studios officially confirms fleet expansion as part of the core loop. Public community indexes and videos document several class names, but the free Beta V2.0.0 ship menu has not been verified for this guide. The index below is therefore a currently documented discovery list, not a claim that every name is available, ordered, or unchanged in V2.

Evidence labels: “Official” covers only the fleet-building loop. “Community reported” means a name appears in a directly relevant fleet index or video. Prices, dimensions, deck counts, capacity, speed, availability, unlocks, and product ownership all need a current in-game check.

Currently documented class names

  • Pioneer Class — repeatedly presented by community guides as an early or starter-scale vessel; a 2025 beginner video builds a money-focused Pioneer. Current starter assignment and values need V2 testing.
  • Stratus Class — listed in the community fleet gallery and older class coverage. Current availability and role need V2 testing.
  • Aurora, Explorer, Celeste, Horizon, Summit, and Peluda Classes — names shown together in a community fleet gallery. No current order, cost, dimensions, or unlock is asserted.
  • Somnio and Orion Classes — associated by a third-party Roblox product index with a Yacht Bundle for this Universe. Current sale state, inclusion, access conditions, and in-game purchase cost need official confirmation.
  • Eclipse Class — appears in creator/video history and community farming discussion, but it is not promoted here as a currently obtainable V2 class without a live menu check.

Unknown fields are deliberately left unknown. A ship name in an old gallery proves that the community documented it, not that the free Beta preserved it. Use the Class Comparison to record the current menu before choosing.

Compare ships by the job they must do

Start with the operating job. A learning ship should be cheap enough to rebuild and easy to inspect. A guest-focused ship needs usable room and amenity circulation. A repeat-voyage ship needs dependable operation and a resource reserve. A showcase ship can spend more space on visual composition once its essential systems are stable.

Then compare buildable space rather than exterior size. The grid, deck boundaries, object collision, and access routes determine how much of a hull is useful. A visually larger class can still be awkward for your plan if it forces long paths or expensive support systems.

Finally compare recurring burden. Fuel, supplies, crew wages, energy or power, and preparation time appear in community system documentation as operating concerns. The exact V2 model is unknown, but the decision principle remains: a hull that completes trips consistently is more valuable than a larger unfinished purchase.

A safe ship-menu inspection

Open the current ship acquisition or fleet interface and record the exact class name, status, price, currency, availability, and any lock explanation. If a product or gamepass is required, follow the Roblox purchase prompt and verify the seller. Do not infer access from a third-party thumbnail.

Inspect the preview for build grid, deck access, default components, and whether the purchase is a blank hull or a prepared template. Take note of any included material or ownership limits. Those details affect total launch cost more than the hull price alone.

Before confirming, calculate a reserve in practical terms: enough for required operation, a minimal guest layout, a test voyage, and one correction. The site does not publish an exact percentage because current prices and operating costs need V2 testing.

Starter ship decisions

Use the ship already available to your account unless the live onboarding explicitly directs otherwise. The Starter Ships guide treats Pioneer as community reported and focuses on creating a first functional layout without locking the article to an old starting balance.

Keep the first ship compact. Learn placement, room access, resource preparation, departure, docking, and settlement. Expansion before that loop works doubles the number of places a fault can hide.

Measure the starter on one repeatable route. Record preparation cost, time, interruptions, guest feedback, and settlement. Those results become the baseline for judging whether a larger class is a real upgrade.

Expansion and fleet roles

Give each ship a role. One can remain a dependable earner while another tests a new layout. One can emphasize guest service while another explores visual building. Distinct roles make comparisons useful and reduce the temptation to rebuild every vessel after one update.

Expand only when the current ship can finance or support the next project without losing its own operating reserve. If the game allows simultaneous or automated operation in V2, verify current limits and crew requirements before planning passive income. Older community claims about fleet caps and concurrent ships are not repeated as settled facts.

Use the Progression hub and Money Guide for staged reinvestment, then check Voyages for route readiness.

Yachts and premium access

The Yachts guide separates Roblox product ownership from in-game acquisition. A pass may unlock permission while the ship itself still has an in-game requirement; a third-party index may also show a product that is off sale or changed.

Check the official Store, current product description, and in-game menu together. Do not buy based on an old Somnio or Orion price, a video thumbnail, or a promise that a premium hull automatically earns more.

Evaluate premium ships with the same operating criteria as normal classes: usable grid, role, support cost, resource demand, and fit with your account. Robux ownership does not replace a functional build.

Common ship-selection mistakes

  • Treating a community gallery as a complete current V2 roster.
  • Spending the full balance on a hull before reserving operating and guest-service costs.
  • Comparing exterior scale while ignoring buildable grid and circulation.
  • Calling the largest class “best” without measuring the route and operating burden.
  • Assuming a gamepass includes every in-game purchase or that an old product remains on sale.
  • Deleting a working starter before the replacement completes a test voyage.

Ships FAQ

What is the starter ship?

Community guides repeatedly identify Pioneer as an early vessel, but this page requires the V2 onboarding or ship menu to confirm the current starter assignment.

What is the best ship?

There is no verified universal best class. Choose by role, buildable space, operating burden, availability, and the reserve your account can keep.

Is this every ship in V2?

No. It is a set of currently documented names with visible evidence status. A complete V2 roster requires an in-game menu audit.

Are yacht classes pay-to-win?

No performance conclusion is supported. Verify the current product and compare actual operating results rather than assuming premium access guarantees profit.

Should I sell or replace my first ship?

Keep a working baseline until the replacement can complete the same operating loop. Current sale, deletion, and ownership rules need an in-game check.
